Our farm

A 40-acre homestead in 1947. Five hundred and eighty acres, four generations, and one stubborn belief later.

Earl and Mae Wilson broke ground on a 40-acre homestead outside Lincoln in the spring of 1947. Today, the farm stretches across 580 protected acres in two counties, employs 142 year-round staff and up to 380 seasonal workers at the peak of harvest, and serves roughly 11,500 families each week through the farmstand, our online market, and the CSA program that has shipped to 1,800+ neighbors every week since 2008.

We still grow most of what we sell. We still pick it ourselves. And we still believe a farm market should taste like the morning it was picked — not the week it was shipped.

Selection

320+ varieties on-site, including 40+ rare tomatoes.

A 1.5-acre heirloom apple orchard holds 18 heritage cultivars. The tomato field alone carries more than forty cultivars you will not find at a grocery chain — Cherokee Purples, Green Zebras, Black Krims, and a dozen more picked at sunrise.

Shop This Week's Harvest

I stopped at Wilson's on a Tuesday for tomatoes and left an hour later with a flat of strawberries, a loaf of rye, and a recipe card the baker had written out by hand. That never happens at a grocery store. That is the whole point.
